University of Peshawar Hosts Seminar on Right to Public Services


Peshawar, The University of Peshawar’s Department of International Relations hosted a public awareness seminar, organized by the Right to Public Services Commission. The event aimed to educate students on the legal frameworks and operational goals of the commission, enhancing their understanding of governmental functions and citizen rights.



According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the seminar featured a comprehensive lecture by Commissioner Muhammad Asim Imam. He detailed the aims, objectives, and legal procedures of the commission to hundreds of students and faculty members in attendance. Prominent figures such as Chairman Dr. Hussain Suhrawardy, former chairman Dr. Adnan, and faculty members Dr. Saima Gul and Dr. Minhas Majeed also participated in the event.



During the seminar, Dr. Suhrawardy expressed gratitude to the attendees and emphasized the seminar’s purpose to foster awareness among students about government initiatives, encouraging them to contribute positively to societal development in the future. The commissioner engaged with the audience, answering questions and encouraging students to research and propose enhancements in public service access. The seminar also highlighted the importance of teaching good governance and citizen rights, positioning students to play constructive roles in national development.
