DG Safe City and CDA Team Discuss Strategies for Traffic Improvement


ISLAMABAD: Director General Safe City and Deputy Inspector General Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya convened a critical meeting with the Capital Development Authority team to address traffic-related issues in the city.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting, held at the Safe City Office, included discussions on strategies to reduce traffic violations and road accidents. Attendees included SSP Operations Safe City Captain (R) Hamza Humayun, Director IT Atif Abbas, and senior officials from the Capital Development Authority.



The discussions focused on several initiatives, such as implementing fresh lane markings on major roads, installing traffic signboards, and ensuring timely maintenance of traffic signals by the Capital Development Authority. Muhammad Haroon Joiya emphasized the importance of upgrading road infrastructure to enhance traffic safety and organization, urging the CDA to accelerate improvements on major thoroughfares.



The Capital Development Authority assured the Traffic Police of its full support and pledged to prioritize necessary measures to improve the city’s traffic management system.
