Srinagar-Jammu Highway Shut Down Due to Mudslides and Shooting Stones in Ramban

SRINAGAR, The Srinagar-Jammu Highway has been closed to traffic following mudslides and shooting stones that occurred near the Mehar area in Ramban district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, an official reported that the highway was obstructed due to these natural incidents, which were triggered by heavy rainfall in the region. The closure is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of travelers and to facilitate the clearing of the road.

In a related development, the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) road has also been closed. This closure is due to the accumulation of snow along the road, further impacting travel and transportation in the region.
