Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has conveyed his condolences following the death of Begum Nafisa Khalid, a former Member of the National Assembly and the maternal grandmother of Syed Shamoon Hashmi, Special Secretary for Special Initiatives in the National Assembly.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq paid tribute to Begum Nafisa Khalid, highlighting her contributions to political and parliamentary services as well as her efforts in strengthening democratic values in the country. He emphasized that her work would be remembered for many years.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq acknowledged the loss experienced by the family and extended his sympathies to Syed Shamoon Hashmi and other family members. He expressed his prayers for the departed soul to be granted a high place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and wished the family strength to endure their loss.
