Sindh Institute of Child Health Korangi Receives State-of-the-Art Ventilator from Governor’s Wife


Karachi, The Sindh Institute of Child Health in Korangi has been gifted a state-of-the-art ventilator, courtesy of the wife of Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori. This latest addition to the hospital’s medical equipment is heralded as a significant advancement in neonatal care, capable of opening blocked lungs in newborn babies, and marks a first in both private and public sector hospitals across Pakistan.



According to Sindh Governor House, the ventilator, imported from Switzerland and valued at one crore rupees, was procured following a request from the hospital’s director, Prof. Jamal Raza. This high-end medical device is expected to greatly enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide critical care to neonates with respiratory issues, showcasing a commitment to improving healthcare facilities and outcomes for the youngest patients in the region.
