Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has conveyed his sorrow over the death of Dr. Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, wife of former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. Dr. Siti Hasmah was recognized for her work in medicine and social development.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Gilani expressed his condolences to Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and his family, highlighting Dr. Siti Hasmah’s contributions to public health and social welfare. Gilani noted her legacy in medicine and women’s welfare would be respected in Malaysia. He affirmed solidarity with the bereaved family and emphasized that Pakistan stands with Malaysia during this time. He prayed for strength for the family and eternal peace for Dr. Siti Hasmah.
