Finance Minister of Pakistan Discusses Future Collaborations with Standard Chartered Bank CEO


London: The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, engaged in discussions with Standard Chartered Bank CEO Bill Winters in London, focusing on Pakistan’s structural reforms and macroeconomic developments. The conversation highlighted potential collaborations in areas such as tokenization and international Sukuk, along with other financing opportunities.



According to Press Information Department, the meeting emphasized the importance of Standard Chartered Bank’s investor network in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, which could facilitate investor outreach and enhance market visibility for Pakistan. The discussions also explored capital market transactions to support the government’s privatization program, covering opportunities on both the buy-side and sell-side. The meeting was attended by Advisor to the Prime Minister on Privatisation, Mr. Muhammad Ali, and Advisor to the Finance Minister, Mr. Omer Khan.
