Karachi, In a significant counter-terrorism operation, Pakistani security forces eliminated nine terrorists in two separate engagements in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The operations, aimed at dismantling terrorist networks, underscored the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the military’s media wing, an intelligence-based operation in the Tank district resulted in the death of two terrorists. Meanwhile, in South Waziristan district, seven terrorists were killed following an intense exchange of fire with security personnel. These operations led to the seizure of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, highlighting the terrorists’ active involvement in attacks against security forces, extortion, and the target killing of innocent civilians.
The operations also saw the martyrdom of Sepoy Shahzeb Aslam, who fought valiantly against the terrorists. This loss further cements the security forces’ determination to eradicate the threat of terrorism from Pakistan.
