Srinagar, 12 Oct 2023:In the midst of Indian President Droupadi Murmu’s two-day visit to Srinagar, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) witnessed widespread unrest and public dismay as Indian troops intensified their cordon and search operations and house raids across multiple districts, according to a press release from Kashmir Media Service (KMS). Several youths were detained during these operations, while key political figures, including President of People Democratic Party, Mehbooba Mufti, were placed under house arrest. Concurrently, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leaders expressed condemnation of recent actions by Indian troops, which include the killing of two youths in Shopian, and called for sustained efforts towards the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
