Islamabad: A delegation of 21 probationary officers from the 54th Common Training Programme, led by Additional Director Muhammad Ali Afzal, visited the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) headquarters in Islamabad. The visit was part of their professional training aimed at understanding key public-sector institutions.
According to Press Information Department, the officers were briefed by Managing Director of PBM, Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, on the organization’s mandate and initiatives to alleviate poverty and support vulnerable communities. Director Projects Dr. Qasim Zafar also provided a detailed presentation on PBM’s operations and programs.
Capt. Shaheen emphasized the importance of transforming PBM’s approach towards sustainable empowerment, moving beyond short-term assistance. He encouraged the officers to contribute to Pakistan’s prosperity through innovative and dedicated public service, highlighting the necessity of dignity, empathy, and accountability in effective governance.
The delegation acknowledged PBM’s social protection efforts and emphasized the importance of inclusive governance for national development. The Managing Director concluded by urging unity and a commitment to compassionate public service as a means to enhance social cohesion and human dignity.
