Islamabad, Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar announced on Tuesday that the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) reform agenda is advancing as planned. The government is dedicated to enhancing FBR’s capacity and implementing necessary changes to improve its efficiency in revenue collection and service delivery. The Prime Minister endorsed various proposals for reform during a recent meeting, authorizing the finance minister to proceed with the implementation.
According to Federal Board of Revenue, these reforms are part of a broader effort to streamline FBR’s operations, with particular emphasis on customs. Prime Minister Kakar’s support for these initiatives is seen as a critical step towards modernizing and optimizing the tax administration system in Pakistan.
