Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing its strategic partnership with China, highlighting the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a testament to the longstanding friendship and strategic cooperation between the two nations. In a letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Zardari emphasized new opportunities arising from the second phase of the CPEC, focusing on advancements in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, renewable energy, and green mining.
According to Press Information Department, President Zardari acknowledged China’s significant achievements over the past 77 years, noting its economic and social contributions both domestically and globally. He praised China’s efforts in poverty alleviation, inclusive growth, and its increasing influence in international affairs. The President also referenced the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, underscoring the enduring nature of their alliance based on strategic trust and mutual support.
President Zardari affirmed Pakistan’s prioritization of its relationship with China and its commitment to working closely with President Xi to strengthen their unique partnership. He expressed optimism that the continued growth of this relationship would foster prosperity, regional peace, and stability, while promoting a more peaceful and cooperative global order.
