Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his congratulations to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, the government, and the citizens of Indonesia on the occasion of their Independence Day. In a letter, President Zardari acknowledged the significance of this day, which marks the enduring spirit and determination of the Indonesian people and their leaders in their fight for freedom.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari emphasized the friendly and close relations between Pakistan and Indonesia, which are built on a foundation of shared history, mutual trust, and common faith. He noted the expanding cooperation between the two nations across various sectors, including trade, investment, defense, health, education, and cultural exchanges.
The President expressed optimism that the positive momentum from President Subianto’s visit to Pakistan last year would further enhance collaboration between the countries. He offered his best wishes for Indonesia’s continued peace, progress, and prosperity.
