MARDAN: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed their deep sorrow over the crash of a Pakistan Air Force trainer aircraft near Mardan, which resulted in the deaths of Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah and Lieutenant Taha Abbasi. The leaders paid tribute to the pilots, acknowledging their sacrifice in the line of duty.
According to Radio Pakistan, in their separate statements, both President Zardari and Prime Minister Sharif honored the memory of the deceased pilots. President Zardari offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and extended his condolences to the bereaved families, emphasizing the nation’s gratitude for the sacrifices made by its servicemen.
Prime Minister Sharif echoed these sentiments, also praying for the elevation of the ranks of the fallen officers and for strength for their families during this difficult time. He praised the professional competence of the Pakistan Armed Forces, highlighting their role in the defense of the nation.
