President Alvi Advocates for Bolstered Pak-Qatar Ties in Economic and Defense Spheres

Islamabad, 11 Oct 2023:President Dr. Arif Alvi underscored the imperative of fortifying Pakistan-Qatar relations in economic and defense sectors for reciprocal advantages of the two fraternal nations during a meeting with Lt General Salem Hamad Eqail Al-Nabet, the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, in Islamabad today. The dialogue circled not only around appreciating the established relationship between the two nations but also on tangible actions to transform the rapport into substantial economic and business relations.

According to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MOIB), President Alvi expressed his views amidst the Qatari Chief of Staff and his delegation, highlighting the already excellent state of relations between Pakistan and Qatar. Notably, he expressed gratitude towards Qatar for its humanitarian support during the floods that Pakistan experienced last year and its financial aid during trying times. The President, thus, underscored that such a foundation of mutual assistance should be leveraged further to establish concrete business and economic ties that would bear fruits for both nations.

The meeting and subsequent discussion between the Pakistani President and the Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces symbolize an ongoing commitment to not only sustain but also expand the brotherly relations between the two countries.
