Political Analysts in Jammu and Kashmir Decry Modi’s Impact on Regional Peace

Srinagar, Experts and analysts in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir opine that under Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has become a significant disruptor of peace within the South Asia region. They contend that regional peace threats have significantly escalated since Modi’s accession to power.

According to a news release by Kashmir Media Service, during their interviews and declarations in Srinagar, these experts stressed the expansionist intentions of the RSS-backed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government as detrimental to regional stability. The long-standing Kashmir dispute, they argue, has remained unresolved due to India’s consistent roadblocks.

These political commentators firmly believe that unless the Kashmir issue is settled aligning with the wishes of the Kashmiri people, peace in South Asia will remain elusive. They highlight the Modi administration’s actions on 5 August 2019 as a clear indicator of New Delhi’s indifference toward regional tranquility. The ongoing strict control over Jammu and Kashmir, combined with aggressive policies, they suggest, further destabilizes South Asian peace.

Furthermore, the analysts note that India’s adversarial stance towards its neighboring nations places the peace of the entire South Asian region in jeopardy. They emphasize that Pakistan has consistently communicated to the global community about India’s actions that disrupt stability in South Asia. These experts urge the international community to acknowledge and address India’s role in the prevailing regional tensions.
