PM Kakar Vows to Uphold Peace in Gilgit Baltistan, Condemns Recent Attack

Islamabad, 03 Dec 2023: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar has strongly stated that anti-state elements will not be permitted to disrupt the peace in Gilgit Baltistan. This commitment comes in the wake of a recent attack in Chilas where a bus was fired upon.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Kakar condemned the violent incident and reiterated the government’s determination to continue the war against terrorism until its complete eradication from the country. He expressed profound grief over the loss of innocent lives in the attack and extended his condolences, offering prayers for patience to the families of the victims.

The Prime Minister labeled the targeting of unarmed civilians as an act of cowardice by terrorists, emphasizing the government’s unwavering stance in maintaining security and peace in the region.
