Islamabad Police Intensify Search Operations, Check Over 599 Individuals


ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements, the Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, checking over 599 individuals. The operations, initiated under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, saw the involvement of multiple law enforcement units.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by respective zonal SPs. The comprehensive search efforts included inspections of 225 households, six hotels, 36 shops, and a total of 232 motorcycles and 81 vehicles. Notably, 30 suspicious individuals along with two motorcycles were taken to police stations for further verification. Additionally, arrests were made for possession of illegal weapons, with a rifle and ammunition recovered.



SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that these operations aim to tighten security measures and target criminal activity, including actions against land grabbers and drug dealers. The operations are part of an ongoing effort to enhance security and safety across different areas of the district.
