Srinagar, Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday said that Jammu and Kashmir was experiencing “disappointment,” and the people are living in a cosntat state of “fear”.
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking to the media persons in Kulgam, Mehbooba Mufti stated: “There is disappointment, people are being arrested, recently wife of Sarjan Barkati was arrested in a funding case. There is no evidence, no hearing and people are just arrested and sent to jail. So, people are under coercion, fear.”
The PDP chief spoke during a party workers’ convention in Manzgam, a district in south Kashmir.
“The PDP is ready to make any sacrifice and that is why I am going to the people,” she added.
