Islamabad, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed, has pledged to provide maximum facilities to intending Hajj pilgrims. In a ceremony held in Islamabad, he announced the upcoming release of the Hajj Policy 2024, promising significant improvements for pilgrims.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Ahmed revealed that the cost of the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage has been reduced to less than 1.075 million rupees. He assured that pilgrims would benefit from a range of facilities, including internet packages and mobile SIMs. The ministry is also introducing a shorter Hajj programme of approximately 20 days to accommodate those unable to stay for the traditional 40 days. Furthermore, pilgrims paying their Hajj dues in dollars will be exempt from the balloting process, streamlining the pilgrimage for international participants.
