Islamabad, A recent survey by Ipsos Pakistan has indicated a rise in Pakistani citizens’ confidence in the country’s general and current economic situation. The survey, which marks a positive shift after years of decline, was conducted between October 31 and November 3, 2023.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, there has been a 10 percent increase in the number of Pakistanis who believe the country is heading in the right direction economically. The survey also noted a significant 16 percent decrease in the percentage of citizens who consider the economy weak. Additionally, there has been a 13 percent increase in the proportion of Pakistanis holding a moderate view of the economic situation, now at 35 percent. The survey further reveals a 25 percent decrease in pessimism regarding the economy, with a notable 23 percent rise in those optimistic about economic improvement, bringing the total to 33 percent. The rate of respondents with a moderate position also increased to 26 percent.
