Islamabad: Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman Senate of Pakistan and Ambassador to the Inter-parliamentary Speakers’ Conference, met with Mr. Ouch Borith, the Interim President of the Cambodian Senate, in Phnom Penh to discuss enhancing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Cambodia through parliamentary cooperation.
According to Senate of Pakistan, the meeting focused on mutual interests and strengthening ties between the two nations. Ms. Khar delivered greetings from the Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, and expressed optimism about the growing relationship between Pakistan and Cambodia. The discussions emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy to foster mutual understanding and enhance people-to-people contacts.
Ms. Khar later visited the newly constructed GDT Conference Center with members of the ISC delegation. The center is set to host the Second Moot of the International Speakers’ Conference. During the visit, the delegation reviewed the venue’s facilities and preparations for the upcoming conference. Ms. Khar acknowledged the Cambodian Senate’s efforts in organizing the event and expressed hope that it would facilitate inter-parliamentary dialogue and cooperation on a global scale.
