Islamabad, The three-day National Reading Conference, Book Fair, and Pakistan Learning Festival commenced in Islamabad, inaugurated by Madad Ali Sindhi, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training. Organized by the Ministry in collaboration with Idara e Taleem-o-Aghai and the National Book Foundation, the event is themed “Today’s Readers, Tomorrow’s Learners.”
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reported that Minister Sindhi, addressing the opening ceremony, stressed the importance of promoting a reading culture among the youth. He asserted that education is crucial for progress and prioritized improving education quality and reducing the number of out-of-school children. The event includes various activities like animated storytelling, interactive performances, and workshops on bookmaking, aiming to engage children and families in the joy of reading. The festival also features screenplays, dance, musical performances, and dramas, contributing to a comprehensive literary experience.
