Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to bolstering democratic institutions, ensuring constitutional supremacy, and enhancing public involvement in governance. He emphasized the importance of these elements in a message released on the International Day of Parliamentarism.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister noted that the Constitution of Pakistan provides a framework for a democratic system based on representative governance. He highlighted the role of parliament as the primary constitutional entity for expressing the public’s aspirations and translating them into legislation.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the progress made by Pakistan’s parliamentary democracy in promoting inclusivity and effective representation.
