Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, in a recent interview with a private TV channel, expressed optimism about Pakistan’s economic future. He indicated that positive developments regarding the country’s economy are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Kakar praised the Special Investment Facilitation Council for its role in ensuring consistent economic policy. Regarding the political landscape, he confirmed that general elections are scheduled for February 8th next year. The Election Commission of Pakistan, he said, is committed to conducting free and fair elections. The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s dedication to transparent elections, stating that there are no restrictions on any political party, including PTI, in organizing election-related activities. He further clarified that the caretaker government does not favor any political party and that the party receiving the people’s mandate would form the next government.
