ISLAMABAD: In a meeting held in Islamabad, key religious figures from Palestine met with Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, to discuss the ongoing situation in Gaza. The meeting underscored Pakistan’s consistent stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and its unwavering support for Palestinian sovereignty.
According to Radio Pakistan, Grand Mufti of Palestine Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein and Qazi ul Qaza of Palestine Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash engaged in discussions with Minister Yousuf, during which the minister expressed the deep sorrow felt by Pakistanis over the situation in Gaza. He reiterated that the hearts of Pakistanis are with the Palestinians, highlighting the country’s historical position of not recognizing Israel. Pakistan’s passports explicitly state their invalidity for travel to Israel, reflecting this stance.
Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash announced that the Palestinian President is scheduled to visit Pakistan in the coming weeks, an event anticipated to further solidify the relationship between the two nations. The Grand Mufti emphasized the shared perspectives of Pakistan and Palestine, asserting that divergence in their positions is inconceivable.
