Islamabad: The Islamabad Police’s Anti Motorcycle Lifting Unit (AMLU) has successfully apprehended three individuals identified as members of a notorious motorcycle lifter gang, recovering 13 stolen motorcycles in the process. This operation marks a significant step in the intensified efforts to combat motorcycle theft in the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the crackdown follows special directives issued by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at eradicating criminal activities in the region. Utilizing both technical and human resources, the AMLU police team managed to capture the suspects, identified as Kashif alias Manu, Ajlal Haider, and Muhammad Zeeshan. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the apprehended individuals as investigations continue.
The police have encouraged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to local authorities or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” This initiative underscores the importance of community cooperation in reducing crime and enhancing public safety.
