ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to combat crime and increase security in the federal capital, the Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations, scrutinizing more than 588 individuals across various sectors. The operations were initiated under the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were led by SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and closely monitored by zonal SPs, targeting a range of areas known for heightened criminal activity. The comprehensive checks included 285 households, 22 hotels, 36 shops, 245 motorcycles, and 137 vehicles. Authorities have taken 15 individuals and 20 motorcycles into custody for further verification.
SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the ongoing mission to clamp down on criminal elements and improve the overall security landscape of the city. The police operations are part of a broader strategy to maintain law and order, focusing on eliminating threats from criminal networks, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
