ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has dismissed recent allegations from India as a “malicious campaign,” urging the global community to recognize the claims as baseless and to hold India accountable for what it describes as state-sponsored terrorism in the region.
According to Radio Pakistan, Tahir Andrabi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responded to media inquiries concerning statements from India’s Home Minister. Andrabi characterized the remarks, which sought to link Pakistan to specific arrests in India, as part of India’s ongoing efforts to deflect from its own internal security issues and to leverage accusations against Pakistan for domestic political purposes.
The spokesperson accused India of oppressing minorities and stifling dissent within its borders. Externally, he claimed, India is involved in exporting terror and supporting terrorists. Andrabi emphasized that these unwarranted accusations from India should not distract the international community from focusing on what he termed as India’s state-sponsored terrorism, targeted assassinations, and activities aimed at destabilization in foreign territories.
