Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Regulated Border Movement with Afghanistan

Islamabad, Pakistan’s Foreign Office has expressed its dedication to ensuring a fully regulated transit of individuals and merchandise across the border with Afghanistan, aligning with established international norms.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, in response to media questions concerning statements made by the Deputy Interim Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, asserted Pakistan’s commitment to the issue. Baloch emphasized that no assertions questioning the legitimacy of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border could alter the realities defined by geography, history, and international law. She further advised Afghan authorities to focus on addressing Pakistan’s legitimate security concerns rather than making such declarations.
