Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have extended their congratulations to the leadership and citizens of Saudi Arabia as the Kingdom marks its 96th National Day. In messages directed to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Pakistani leaders emphasized the enduring friendship and mutual trust between the two nations.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President highlighted the significance of the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement and the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, noting that these accords have bolstered the strategic relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. President Zardari expressed optimism that the ties between the two countries would continue to expand across various areas of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Sharif praised the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, acknowledging Saudi Arabia’s advancements in prosperity, modernization, and innovation. He affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to standing alongside Saudi Arabia in protecting its sovereignty, security, and the sanctity of its holy sites.
