ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry recently met with representatives of the Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance to address concerns related to goods transportation and container availability. During the meeting, which included DIG Headquarters Muhammad Jawad Tariq and office-bearers of the alliance, discussions focused on resolving issues faced by traders and transporters.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Chaudhry directed that containers carrying essential items such as medicines and food be promptly returned to their owners to prevent disruptions for citizens and businesses. He also assured that owners of containers used for maintaining law and order would receive appropriate compensation.

Following the meeting, IGP Chaudhry visited Nilore Police Station to assess ongoing construction and renovation efforts. He reviewed the progress of the work and instructed officers to complete the project promptly, adhering to quality standards and timelines. The IGP emphasized the importance of creating an accessible and welcoming environment at police stations, with proper facilities for both citizens and police personnel.
