Islamabad: Federal Minister for Power, Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari, inaugurated Pakistan’s first 120 KW fast charging station, marking a significant development in the nation’s pursuit of sustainable energy. Developed by GoGreen Avenue, the station was unveiled at a ceremony in Islamabad, underscoring the Ministry of Energy’s commitment to promoting green mobility and energy-efficient solutions.
In his address, Minister Leghari highlighted the government’s dedication to fostering a cleaner and greener future. He emphasized how initiatives like the fast charging station are pivotal in transforming Pakistan’s energy and transportation sectors.
The Minister further announced a reduction in the price of electric charging units, from 71 rupees to 39 rupees, aiming to make electric mobility more affordable for the public. This move is intended to enhance accessibility and encourage the adoption of electric vehicles.
Leghari praised the collaboration between public and private sectors, acknowledging its role in driving the initiative forward. He emphasized the importance of such partnerships in achieving Pakistan’s environmental goals and reiterated the government’s support for green energy projects.
