Islamabad, 12 Oct 2023:Pakistan has voiced strong condemnation against India’s treatment of Pakistani female sports presenter Zainab Abbas, asserting the case against her based on a tweet is unjust and highlighting the country’s obligation as host of the World Cup to provide a favourable environment for all teams, according to the Foreign Office Spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch. The spokesperson indicated that they are liaising with India concerning visa issuance for Pakistani journalists and cricket fans. This condemnation comes in light of an accusation by an Indian lawyer, alleging that Abbas had posted messages against Hinduism and India on social media.
