Pakistan Committed to Eradicating Polio, Health Minister Tells Bill Gates

ISLAMABAD, Caretaker Minister for Health Dr. Nadeem Jan has outlined the government’s integrated strategy to eradicate polio in Pakistan. This was shared during a meeting with Bill Gates, Co-Chairman of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, at the COP-28 conference in Dubai.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Jan briefed Gates on the ongoing polio vaccination campaign in Pakistan. He emphasized that the government is taking all necessary measures to eliminate the polio virus and is committed to ensuring complete vaccine access to all children in the country.

Bill Gates commended the Health Minister for his comprehensive plan, acknowledging the efforts being made in Pakistan to tackle this critical public health challenge.
