Pakistan Commemorates International Day of Remembrance of Victims of Terrorism

Islamabad: Pakistan observed the International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, reflecting on the profound impact of terrorism on its citizens and reaffirming a steadfast commitment to combating such acts globally. The day was marked by solemn tributes to the lives lost, including civilians and security personnel who have fought bravely against terrorism.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the observance also extended a special tribute to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), recognizing their long-standing suffering under what Pakistan terms state-sponsored terrorism by Indian forces. The Ministry highlighted the historical and ongoing challenges faced by Kashmiris, underscoring Pakistan’s continued support for their right to self-determination.

The commemoration emphasized the collective memory of the nation’s martyrs and survivors, stressing that the sacrifices of thousands, including women and children, will never be forgotten. The Ministry called on the international community to stand in solidarity with all victims of state terrorism, particularly those in IIOJK, as part of a broader appeal for global peace, tolerance, and understanding.
