Islamabad, Pakistan has asserted its right to respond to Iran’s recent breach of its sovereignty in Balochistan, declaring the act as illegal and a violation of international law.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch addressed a news conference in Islamabad, where she unequivocally stated that Iran’s actions were completely unacceptable and had no justification. She highlighted that the incident represents a blatant breach of Pakistan’s sovereignty, violating international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.
In response to this transgression, Baloch announced that Pakistan has taken decisive steps, including the recall of its ambassador from Iran. Additionally, the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, who is currently in Iran, has been advised not to return for the time being.
Further escalating the diplomatic response, Pakistan has decided to suspend all high-level visits between the two countries, whether ongoing or planned for the coming days. This measure underscores the gravity with which Pakistan views the recent incursion by Iran into its territory.
The incident marks a significant strain in Pakistan-Iran relations and reflects the complexities of regional security dynamics. Pakistan’s firm stance and actions signal its commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and upholding international norms.
