Pakistan and Turkiye Strengthen Military and Defense Ties


Islamabad, Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, engaged in high-level talks with Turkish military leaders in Turkiye, reinforcing the strong military and defense relations between the two nations.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Mirza met with key figures including the Turkish Minister of Defence, commanders of the Turkish military branches, and the president of the Turkish government’s defense production agency. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral defense cooperation, counter-terrorism efforts, and regional security issues. The meetings underscored a mutual commitment to deepen the defense partnership. Additionally, General Mirza was honored with the Legion of Merit in recognition of his contributions to these bilateral relations.
