ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and the Republic of Korea have agreed to bolster their judicial cooperation, following a meeting between Korea’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Han Sungho, and Pakistan’s Chief Justice, Yahya Afridi. The discussions, held in Islamabad, focused on enhancing collaboration between the two nations’ judiciaries.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting acknowledged the Supreme Court of the Republic of Korea’s expertise in judicial automation and technology-driven court administration. Justice Yahya Afridi emphasized that increased institutional engagement could support Pakistan’s ongoing efforts in judicial automation and digital integration. Both parties examined a proposed Memorandum of Understanding, which is anticipated to be signed during Chief Justice Afridi’s upcoming visit to Seoul.
Ambassador Han Sungho commended Pakistan’s judicial reform initiatives and expressed his country’s support for strengthening judicial ties with Pakistan.
