Pakistan and Nepal Pledge to Enhance Cultural Cooperation


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Nepal have reached an agreement to strengthen their cooperation in various cultural sectors, aiming to enhance bilateral ties. This development was marked by a meeting between Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Pakistan’s Minister for National Heritage and Culture, and Rita Dhital, the Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan.



According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions focused on the rich cultural heritage that both countries share, with Minister Khichi emphasizing Pakistan’s possession of significant Buddhist artifacts such as the renowned Buddha sculptures and remains. The meeting underscored the mutual respect and longstanding relationship between the two nations, which has been characterized by a spirit of goodwill and cooperation.



Ambassador Dhital acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in the promotion, preservation, and conservation of cultural heritage, arts, and Buddhist cultural history. Both parties agreed to boost bilateral cooperation in areas like culture, heritage, and fostering people-to-people engagement, reflecting a shared commitment to cultural diplomacy and exchange.
