Pakistan and Croatia Explore New Avenues for Bilateral Cooperation


Islamabad: Pakistan and Croatia have engaged in discussions to explore avenues for strengthening their bilateral ties across a wide range of fields, including trade, investment, and defense, among others. The talks were conducted during a meeting in Islamabad between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Croatia’s Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Dr. Gordan Grlic Radman.



According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in areas such as agriculture, labor mobility, visa facilitation, education, climate change, tourism, infrastructure, and information technology. The two leaders also deliberated on various aspects of Pakistan-EU cooperation and addressed pertinent regional and global issues.



Recognizing the critical role of connectivity in promoting sustainable development, regional stability, and global economic integration, both sides explored potential collaborative efforts between the ports of Pakistan and Croatia. They also reached a consensus to conduct Bilateral Political Consultations either later this year or at the beginning of the next, marking a significant move towards fortifying the relationship between the two nations.



The visit by Dr. Grlic Radman is seen as a crucial step in enhancing diplomatic and economic relations between Pakistan and Croatia.
