New York: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres at the UN Headquarters, engaging in discussions about the regional situation and pressing international issues. The meeting focused on Pakistan’s mediation efforts in West Asia and its contributions to UN peacekeeping missions.
According to Radio Pakistan, the UN Secretary-General expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s longstanding commitment to UN peacekeeping operations and its role in promoting global peace and security. In response, Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace and stability under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, emphasizing the country’s efforts to safeguard human lives despite numerous challenges.
The meeting underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing global conflicts and highlighted Pakistan’s proactive role in these efforts.
