Beijing: Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang have overseen the signing and exchange of a series of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and China. The agreements focus on areas such as trade, investment, agriculture, science and technology, climate change, education, media, and people-to-people exchanges.
According to Press Information Department, the signed documents include a range of cooperative agreements such as the Executive Program on Educational Cooperation and Exchanges, protocols related to the inspection and quarantine of dried fruits and nuts, and phytosanitary requirements for maize. Other agreements focus on agricultural development, economic cooperation, climate change, and educational exchanges.
The agreements also include a Letter of Exchange on animal vaccines, various MoUs on economic development, and cooperation in media and public policy. Additionally, a Sister-Province Relationship has been established between Zhejiang Province in China and Punjab Province in Pakistan. The agreements are seen as a step forward in enhancing the welfare and prosperity of both nations.
