Srinagar, A non-local labourer from Nepal died and another has been hospitalised after they fell unconscious due to suffocation in the Nowgam area of Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, on Sunday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, an official said soon after receiving information about the incident, a team rushed to the spot and shifted the individuals to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital, Sriagar.
He said that one of the individuals was, however, pronounced dead at the hospital, while another is undergoing treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Mani Kumar Raj (48), and the other labourer, who is being treated, has been identified as Bano (37). Both are residents of Nepal.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and investigation has been taken up. KMS—5A
