NIA Conducts Raids Across Jammu and Kashmir, Citing Security Concerns

Srinagar, in a major security operation, India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has carried out a series of raids across several districts in Jammu and Kashmir. These actions come amid increasing tensions in the region, with Indian authorities citing security concerns as the reason for the operation.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the NIA conducted these raids early Tuesday morning in the districts of Islamabad, Kulgam, Baramulla, and Shopian in the Kashmir valley, as well as Poonch and Rajouri in the Jammu region. The NIA personnel were accompanied by members of the Indian police and the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force during these operations.

Indian officials have stated that these raids are part of an investigation into the killing of Indian soldiers in an encounter that took place in Rajouri on May 5 of this year. The deployment of the NIA, known for its role in investigating complex cases related to national security, indicates the seriousness with which the Indian government is treating the situation.
