Islamabad, The National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC) marked World Day Against Child Labour with the launch of the State of Children in Pakistan portal, aiming to strengthen the fight against child labour and enhance child rights protection.
According to Press Information Department, the launch event was highlighted by speeches emphasizing the need for comprehensive measures to end child labour, particularly in domestic settings. Law and Justice Minister Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar expressed government support for NCRC initiatives, including legislative reforms to outlaw child labour in domestic work.
The newly launched portal serves as a vital resource hub, providing data, research, and policy frameworks to support stakeholders in child protection. The portal, along with the annual report of the NCRC, outlines the commission’s strategies and collaborations aimed at promoting children’s rights across Pakistan.
