Islamabad, A comprehensive anti-polio campaign is set to commence across Pakistan on Monday, targeting children up to five years old with polio vaccinations.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the week-long campaign in Sindh involves over eighty thousand polio workers, who will administer vaccines to over ten million children in 30 districts. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, more than 7.4 million children will receive polio drops, with thirty-one thousand teams conducting door-to-door vaccinations. Balochistan will also initiate a seven-day anti-polio drive, aiming to vaccinate more than 2.5 million children, with over eleven thousand polio teams deployed. Additionally, a five-day anti-polio campaign will start in AJK, targeting over seven hundred thousand children with the assistance of four thousand mobile teams.
