Islamabad: The Ministry of Commerce has announced the allocation of Rs10 billion to support the textile and apparel industry, along with other export sectors, through Duty Drawback and Technology Upgradation Schemes. The initiative aims to enhance industrial liquidity and bolster export growth, as stated by Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan.
According to Press Information Department, the sanctioned funds are intended to provide essential liquidity support to export-oriented industries. This financial backing is expected to facilitate technological advancements, allowing exporters to enhance their competitiveness and broaden their international market reach. The move underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Pakistan’s export sectors and fostering an environment conducive to sustainable export growth.
Minister Jam Kamal Khan shared the announcement on X, expressing his optimism that the financial support will enable the industry to improve liquidity and increase exports.
