Minister of State for IT Discusses Telecom Infrastructure with EDOTCO Group Delegation


Islamabad, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja hosted a meeting with a high-level delegation from EDOTCO Group, led by Group CEO Mohamed Adlan Ahmad Tajuddin, to discuss advancements and challenges in Pakistan’s telecom infrastructure.



According to Press Information Department, during the discussions, Minister Shaza Fatima emphasized the critical role of the IT and telecom sectors in the economic uplift of the country and highlighted ongoing government efforts towards digitalization. She pointed out that the government is dedicated to enhancing the quality of broadband and internet services available to the public. The minister acknowledged EDOTCO Group’s support as vital for the telecom industry’s development and encouraged further investment from the group, citing a favorable environment for foreign investment in Pakistan.



The EDOTCO delegation expressed appreciation for the Ministry of IT and Telecom’s efforts to promote the IT and telecommunications sector in Pakistan. Both sides agreed to establish a working group to explore further collaborations. The meeting was also attended by additional key officials from the Ministry, including Additional Secretary MoITT Ms. Aisha Humera Moriani, CEO NITB Babar Majeed Bhatti, and others, underlining the importance of this engagement in strengthening Pakistan’s telecom framework.
