Islamabad: Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Minister for Finance and Revenue, has underscored the necessity for policy reforms and enhanced institutional coordination to address the challenges posed by population growth and climate change. He also highlighted the importance of securing long-term financing to tackle these pressing issues.
According to Radio Pakistan, Senator Aurangzeb made these remarks during a commemorative conference for World Population Day held in Islamabad. He noted that approximately $600 to $700 million would be available annually through the World Bank’s 10-year Country Partnership Framework. This funding is intended to support interventions related to population challenges, offering a significant financial resource to aid in addressing demographic concerns.
